Mike brings over 30 years of commercial banking experience to CFO Capital. His primary focus is origination, deal structuring, and client and network development.

Prior to joining the CFO team, Mike was a top-rated sales manager and business developer with TD Financial Group. He spent over 25 years effectively building and nurturing strong relationships in the National Accounts, Commercial Banking and Business Banking groups.

Mike is a graduate of Western University, earning his B.A. in Economics in 1985 and completing his Honours Business Administration degree, at Ivey School of Business, in 1987.

Bala is a seasoned commercial real estate and corporate banking leader with over two decades of high-impact experience at RBC. He is recognized for his expertise in originating and structuring complex, large-scale credit facilities and project financing across diverse real estate sectors, including retail, industrial, office, hospitality, senior housing, and self-storage. Bala is known for winning high-quality mandates, deepening strategic client relationships, and delivering long-term value through rigorous credit discipline, tailored financing solutions, and decisive execution. His results-driven approach emphasizes strong market insight and negotiation strength to drive significant market share expansion and organizational growth.

Judy Buglyo brings over 30 years of banking experience, including more than 20 years at Citibank, where she specialized in commercial real estate lending.  Through Citibank’s global platform, she developed extensive expertise in structuring cross-border and international commercial real estate transactions, particularly for ultra-high-net-worth clients investing in and developing assets in the Canadian and US markets.

Judy is recognized as an expert across all commercial real estate asset classes, delivering tailored, institutional-quality solutions grounded in deep expertise in structured finance and complex transaction execution.

Maurice is a commercial real estate financing specialist with over 25 years of experience in project financing and banking. He advises clients on the analysis, structuring, and sourcing of strategic debt capital solutions for real estate and infrastructure assets, with a focus on optimizing returns on owner equity. His experience spans multiple asset classes and development stages, including both construction and term debt financing. Prior to joining CFO Capital, he spent over a decade working with developers to devise capital structures and financing strategies, and to underwrite proposals for private debt lenders and equity investors. This followed progressively senior roles in banking and debt capital markets at CIBC, including as a bond market analyst. Maurice has been registered with CFO Capital as a Mortgage Agent Level 1 since 2019 (broker license 10210), operating as Aurum Capital Advisors Inc. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is fluent in French and English.

Sarnjit Nijjar is a seasoned commercial finance professional with over 15 years of experience in commercial banking and real estate finance. At CFO Capital, Sarnjit works closely with real estate developers and corporate borrowers, structuring and arranging tailored construction loans and mortgage financing across a broad range of commercial asset classes, including land development, retail, office, industrial, and multi-family properties.

Prior to joining CFO Capital, Sarnjit held senior leadership roles in credit services and commercial lending at prominent Canadian financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Credit Services at Tandia Financial Credit Union, where he led the Retail and Commercial Credit Department. Before that, Sarnjit was Vice President, Credit Adjudication & Administration at DUCA Financial Credit Union, overseeing underwriting, fulfilment, funding, administration, and collections. He began his career in commercial banking with BMO Bank of Montreal, progressing through roles of increasing responsibility, including Sales Manager, Mortgage Broker Services and Commercial Account Manager, Mid-Market.

Sarnjit holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management from Northwood University in Florida and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Global Leadership from the University of Fredericton. His deep industry knowledge, combined with a strategic and client-focused approach, enables him to deliver creative financing solutions that support client growth and investment success.

As Senior Vice President, Business Development, Richard is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and arranging financing for new clients of CFO Capital.

Richard brings over 24 years of banking experience with the last 16+ years in commercial and real estate banking. Prior to joining CFO Capital, Richard was with Scotiabank as a Senior Client Relationship Manager, where he managed a diverse portfolio of Real Estate and Operating companies. Richard has also worked for RBC’s Real Estate Banking Group and BMO’s Commercial Banking Group.

Richard has been with CFO Capital since 2018.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Ryerson University.

Trevor Scott established CFO Capital’s Vancouver office in 2019 and leads debt origination and financing execution for hotel owners, investors, and developers across Western Canada.

Trevor’s focus includes construction, acquisition, and term financing for hotels and resorts. His team works closely with banks, credit unions, life insurance companies, and private capital providers, leveraging a source of capital for his clients. His specialized and focused approach has positioned him as a trusted capital markets advisor to hoteliers across Canada.

Before joining CFO Capital, Trevor was a Senior Director at Superior Lodging, where he was responsible for the development of the company’s hotel brands. Earlier, he spent seven years with PKF, an international consulting firm specializing in hospitality valuations, asset strategy, and acquisition due diligence on behalf of owners, developers, and lenders. Earlier in his career, Trevor held senior operational roles with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.

Trevor holds a Commerce degree from Ryerson University, a postgraduate certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments from Cornell University, and both a Real Estate License and Mortgage Brokerage License from the University of British Columbia.

Joshua brings over two decades of experience in real estate finance, housing development, and business development, spanning leadership roles across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He served as Chief Underwriter at HPC Housing Investment Corporation, sourcing & underwriting $73 million in projects, and as Director of Finance at Community Land Trust, where he enhanced financial systems and built a high-performing finance team to support CLT’s growing portfolio of over 25 housing co-operatives in BC.

At BC Housing, Joshua led over 30 housing projects totalling $533 million, while at CMHC, he provided underwriting and client advisory services for multi-unit and affordable housing across the country. His expertise includes commercial real estate lending, credit risk assessment, portfolio management, and structuring innovative financing solutions.

Joshua is fully bilingual in English and French, holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Law & Economics, is a Licensed Mortgage Broker, and has completed advanced training in Digital Transformation Leadership.

With a proven record of delivering financing strategies that balance financial strength with community impact, Joshua will play a key role in expanding CFO Capital’s business development efforts and supporting clients in achieving their real estate growth objectives.

Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Todd Kemp brings over 20 years of expertise in commercial real estate financing to his role as Managing Director, Prairies.

Previously, as Director, Syndicated Lending at Equitable Bank (formerly Concentra Bank), Todd built and led a $1.5 billion commercial syndication desk serving the National Credit Union system. He has a strong track record in structuring complex real estate-backed loan syndications and managing transactions across diverse industries and regions throughout Canada.
